Cosmonaut’s Lament Cosmonauts they must tread lightly, when asked if all the stars shine brightly Up above the world from where you are I’d take that view and give it to you, for open fields and hills and valleys And places where they do not know my name CHORUS I’m navigating more than just celestial bodies, I’m sorry if the ticker tape it got in your eyes It’s all about the time, and spaces in between. All the days that I’ve neglected, like all the light from stars reflected In your eyes I can not see the way Through platitudes and promises, and broken branches once extended Valentina, do you know my name? CHORUS Bridge I used to love a girl who’s presence was my sun I used to love that girl, I wonder what I’ve… Well cosmonauts they must tread lightly, when asked if all the stars shine brightly Up above the world from where you are I’d take that view and give it to you, for open fields and hills and valleys And places where they do not know my name CHORUS

Elsa 03:42
ELSA I woke up my visions hazy It takes more than my sight to phase me And I wouldn’t mind the siren’s call tonight ‘Cause I am slowly going crazy With each and every day that passes And each and every wave that crashed down Chorus I see you in a thousand points of light But they’re just out of sight from where we’re standing And I hear you in a thousand ways to try But closed eyes they won’t pry into the future Pale days in the dead of winter Crack the ice but it won’t splinter And I wouldn’t mind the siren’s call tonight These are days the sun won’t set on I’m wide awake but I won’t bet on The thinning ice or my fleeting ways Chorus

Metroline #1 02:48
Metroline #1 There’s a siren in the night, better pack and lockup tight Is that alright for you? I tried to pack up all your things amidst the blast, amidst the rings Is it too loud for you? It’s too loud for me. Chorus If I make it through tonight, underneath the Metroline If I make it though tonight, it will be with you As I take you down below, you‘ll have to hunch the ceilings low Can I take your things And as the din becomes a roar you feel it coming through the floor And I’m scared for you, are you scared for me? Chorus If I stumble and I fall, prop me up against the wall If I make it through tonight, it will be with you If I make it through tonight, underneath the Metroline If I make it through tonight, it will be with you

Metroline #2 03:05
Metroline #2 I caught you looking at me again Your pupils wide and your dappled skin You didn’t think, that I could see The way you look and the way you breath The way you part your matted hair Casts a shadow across your stare Chorus Mark the days upon the floor Batten the hatches and bar the doors Find the spot where the light gets in It’s where you’re going, it’s where you’ve been (x2) The distant light filtered through particles A flickering crown on your silhouette Facing starward I can see A time for you and a time for me Underneath these cracks I pine Underneath the Metroline Chorus

Pause the Tape Pause the tape and watch it in rewind Search the past for the things you’ve left behind Like the way she looked when you told her you were leaving Her eyes on fire, her shoulders they were heaving In spite of myself I answered on the first ring The better that I should know In spite of myself I answered on the first ring To “who do you think you are” (x2) Devastated, gutted and beguiled The prince comes home and he becomes the child She didn’t like to play the second fiddle She didn’t like the emerald in the middle Put the ring in the jar by the door with the window The better that I should know In spite of myself I answered on the first ring To “who do you think you are?” (X2) Hey hey hey She didn’t like to play the second fiddle She didn’t like the emerald in the middle Put the ring in the jar by the door with the window The better that I should know In spite of myself I answered on the first ring To “who do you think you are?” (X2)

Sea Monster Blues I used to see the future but forgot to tend the lines But we could never talked about it, we could never change Falling down is easy it’s the crawling to your feet But we could never talk about it, we could never change Chorus If you come between them right now, you will never come between anything here again The fog divides the distance into the parts that we both know But we could never talk about it, we could never change Tears are freely falling down the apple of your eye But we could never talk about, we could never change Chorus The flotsam and the jetsam and the passing of the years We could never talk about it, we could never change Falling down is easy it’s the crawling to your feet But we could never talk about it, we could never change

Foghorn 03:45
Foghorn Forty men they set to sail the world in technicolor Forty more stood by the shore and said man why would you bother have you Looked at what you’ve started When your head and heart they parted They were coming home They were coming home Chorus They watched it all on a screen What will be will be (It’s just those) prevailing winds that blow into tomorrow As she paced ‘cross the floor she said I’ve seen all this before (It’s just those) prevailing winds that blow until tomorrow Forty men with forty flags all of a different color Took said flags and shook said flags another on another Another on another How they smother how they smother They were coming home (x2) Chorus

about

Far above the clouds there are stars made of metal, watching the victories and sorrows of all humanity through glassy portholes. If those satellites could sing with all the passion and tenderness their machine hearts could muster, it might sound like this band. Tin Constellations: making the night sky less lonesome, one anthem at a time.
